Deborah Drucker on What Mona Wears

Hey everyone!

Hope you all had a nice day. So nice to have a break from the snow to actually enjoy a sunny day! I finally got my hair done because all this dry cold weather dried it out. So now I can feel like myself again, all pretty :)

I’m very excited about what I am going to share with you tonight. About 4 months ago, while I was in LA doing an internship at a PR fashion showroom and event company called American Rebel PR, a task was given for me to research and follow a new upcoming fashion designer named Deborah Drucker. She is from Orange County, CA and she just launched her Fall ’13-’14 collection in Newport News, CA back in September. She designs luxurious women’s ready-to-wear, having grown up in a family full of fashion, art & rock n’ roll. Wait until you see it!

Her collection is AMAZING. I kid you not! I have never seen a collection that makes rock n’ roll look so chic and elegant AT THE SAME DAMN TIME Deborah likes to call her style “Uptown Meets Rock n’ Roll”. The Fall collection is out of this world. The colors she uses are amazing and she is right on the money when it comes to trends. This fabulous lady knows what she is talking about!

Isn’t it beautiful?! I fell in love. Even though my style isn’t that punk rock look, I would wear half of her collection. I love how half the collection is full black and the other just bursts with color. What is really cool about the Fall collection is that you could wear the last two looks to your job (depending on dress code) but I think you can get away with it My favorite looks from this collection is the black croc one shoulder gown and the gorgeous tuxedo jacket with the layered circle skirt. It is literally perfect.

Now her upcoming Spring/Summer 2014 collection is just as great! She still uses black but incorporates some bright bright reds and blues with a mix of tan and white. She loves her dresses of course and still throws in some pants, shorts & capris (makes me want summer to come even faster now). What I also love about the collection is that it doesn’t look uncomfortable to wear. The SS ’14 looks so light and airy. I could definitely see myself strutting down the street feeling fabulous!

I know right?! PERFECTION (my opinion). My favorites from this SS ’14 is the Madison jacket & Charlize skirt (last picture) and the Nautical strapped Sarong. I’m obsessed with this collection and Deborah herself. I would love to meet her one day! We will definitely being seeing more of her in the near future. And this is what Mona WOULD WEAR :)

I hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed writing this! Now it’s off to bed for me!

Peace, Love & Fashion
